Now, More Than Ever . . .

DACA Youth Need Our Support

DACA studentsThe recent announcement to end the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program has sent waves of fear through the immigrant community. DACA recipients were brought to the United States as children who had no choice over their parents’ decision to leave their homeland. Most often, these parents moved their families to flee extreme poverty and violence that threatened their childrens’ safety. Their children have grown up in our neighborhoods as strong role models of the potential of youth — educated, productive, energetic taxpayers who are on a path to make significant contributions to our community.

Your support allows our staff to help DACA youth and other vulnerable immigrants by keeping their families together. We help those who are eligible to gain legal status and earn their rights under our laws to work and contribute to our community.

Thank you for your compassion and confidence in our important work.
